Impact: Phone system will be temporarily unavailable for approximately 5-10 minutes whilst the update installs.

Additional Notes: With Update 8 there are some changes to the 3CX Desktop App and provisioning of new users as follows.

- Setting your extension status is now completed on the right-hand side instead of the left.

- Users may be prompted to install an update to their Desktop App. The prompt "Update Available. Restart Now?" may be received - the "Restart Now" is of the desktop app and not the user's machine.

- Installing the Desktop App from the Web Client is completed in a slightly different manner. You will need to click "Apps" at the bottom left and then select "Desktop App" rather than previously clicking the blue flag, of which has now been replaced by a PWA App logo instead.

- When new users are created in the system and sent their "Welcome Email", this no longer displays the password or the Mobile App QR code. Instead, they are prompted to set their own password. Please encourage users not to set easily guessable passwords such as "Password1!".
o - Microsoft 365 Integration is available within 3CX if you would rather your users sign in with their Microsoft 365 account instead. Please contact Netmatters if you would like to review the implementation of this.

- The QR code can be found either in the Web Client of the Desktop App by going to the 3 dots > Settings > Scan QR Code. Ensure your window is maximised if you cannot see the "Scan QR Code" tab.
